Denis O'Brien
Anyone else heard the rumours that Denis O'Brien, the guy that owns shares in Celtic and pays Trappatoni's wages for Ireland, is planning on major investment in us this Summer ? Heard the rumours for quite a bit now.
Probably not true but interesting prospect nonetheless.

I've heard the rumour mate. But it doesn't add up to me.
If we were getting the reported investment, rumoured to be £40 million, then I think things would have been so much different just now. For one, we would be looking for a top class manager and secondly, we would be getting linked to a better quality of player than we have.
ETims have been saying for months that Desmond is meeting someone prominent on the 11th of June.

Re: Denis O'Brien
Denis o Brien is as shewrd an operator as you'll see. Im looking for an angle for him. Dunno whether to be fearful , or ecstatic to be honest. I cant see him wanting to harm the club but he doesnt throw money away. I think he contributes to trappatonis wages for ireland which is a good omen.
hopefully , if he does become a bigger player at paradise , that he will not be shy in showing his faith to the fans by investing sufficient funds to attract and withstand the wages and pricetags on the type of players we crave and that our club deserves.
with the state of greyskull right now , he could be ready to pounce. hes a clever man. there is less liability right now with a weak greyskull outfit. do you remember what the huns did to us , when they attracted massive players like laudraup and co. and we were on our knees.

he is a businessman and no doubt ruthless to get as far as he has but for him to get a return he'll need us to be very successful.

These kinds of rumours do my tits in.
I hate sites like ETims and Celtic Underground who like to think they are close to ‘people in the know’
