Re: World Cup
Thought the decision to take Milner off early doors was awfae odd, he might have been on a booking but too take him off that early was ridiculous imo.
If that was anyone else the commentators would have slated it but since it was Capello and England it was made out to be some sort of managerial masterstroke.

Hahaha quality, cunts.
As for Greece, that was one of the worst WC performances I have ever seen. But Gekas was their only bit of qaul-i-tie.

Re: World Cup
Milner should've been booked in the first minute, i thought SWP looked decent when he came on.
i'd say Joe Cole will play against the 2 lesser teams in the group.

Re: World Cup
engurland have alot of problems with the left side...goalkeeper and the central defence.
but i think the main problem is the centre of the field.
gerrard and lampard are too similar. i thought capello of all managers would see this.
for instance...if yer man bradley was in midfield with either of gerrard or lampard...it would work much better.
the problem is they continue to play like this.
scott parker and one of lampard/ gerrard would work. capellos fucked up for me.
happy days.
put it this way...if trappatoni was manager of england...do u think he would play both in cm. not a chance.
my point is...that they seriously are missing a link up player who sits in there and dictates the game. because of this they go with root one to heskey and try and play from there.
its fucking awful.
when they come up against a good side , theyll get beat. and beat well.

Re: World Cup
tbf El Paso one thing that pisses me off about our CM is whelan and reid/gibson playing too similarly. they leave a huge gap between CM and doyler and keane because they sit too deep.
i said after the Japan match that england would fall at the quarters as usual.
i thought Lampard was quiet tonight but Gerrard did well, his goal, some good passing and a couple of cracking crosses but the commemetators were saying the two of them were excellent, i didn't think so anyway.

the difference with us clags is that we play the two of them behind the ball so as not to be caught out. but if we had stephan ireland , or someone of his standard we could afford to play one behind the ball more.
england have 2 of these in lampard and gerrard...they want to be one the end of things not at the start of plays. thats a major problem , and causes things like playing heskey to occur as their is no fluency through the middle.
the english commentators always take shite as you and I know...
remember this...(dunphy pulled garth brooks uo on it,...funny as fuck )...
dunphy..''thats the first time ive seen sex between two men live on the bbc!'' haha..

Re: World Cup
aye i'm a huge Stephen Ireland fan, he's exactly what we're missing.
they just said on SSN that milner had 2 touch's last night and committed 2 fouls, not a great return for a half hour.
one thing i really miss over here is watching Dunphy's analysis. he just doesn't like some players, the abuse he used to give Ronaldo was hilarious, how many times a night would he call him a clown!?
the Ireland quitting saga had nothing to do with his granny, it was about his wig. fact.

Should be a good one tonight, im hoping the Germans fuck them. The majority of the convicts seem to be cunts.
The football so far has been disappointing imo. Hopefully it will improve.
